New rules for obtaining a .EU (European Union) domain name

The registration rules for .EU domain names have been updated recently.

From the 19th of October 2019, the citizenship in one of the European Union states will permit you to register a .EU domain.

Also any natural person, company or organisation residing in or established within the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway may register a domain name under .EU

For applicants unable to fulfill above requiremenets, we offer Local Agent solution free of charge. With our service you can register any available (or hold previously registered) .EU domain without the need of an European address or citizenship.

Please be advised, updated information related to Brexit and Great Britain and Gibraltar based entities who already own .EU domain:
On 24 October 2019 EU domain registry will notify by email both GB and GI registrants and their registrars about their forthcoming non-compliance with the new .EU regulatory framework.

Registrants will be given the possibility to demonstrate their compliance with the .EU regulatory framework by updating their contact data before 1 January 2020.

Registrants should transfer their .EU domains to us, using our Local Agent service by that date.

.EU domain names that do not comply to the new .EU registry rules, will be WITHDRAWN from the zone on the date of 1st of January 2020.
